About the Brooklyn Museum

The Brooklyn Museum is a fascinating art museum focused on beaux-arts from cultures all around the world. The museum is the third largest museum in New York and is located in the borough of Brooklyn in the vicinity of Prospect Park, one of the biggest parks in New York City. The Brooklyn museum’s collection is remarkable for its antiquities from European, African, Oceanic, and Japanese art, highlighting the Egyptian collection. Visitors will also enjoy the American art located in its galleries, containing artworks of the most relevant artists from the Colonial period to the present. Artists represented include Edward Hopper, Georgia O’Keeffe, Norman Rockwell, and Winslow Homer, among others.
