The Museum of the City of New York is a history and art museum focused on the preservation and diffusion of the history of New York City and its people, located in the Mille Museum of Manhattan. The main collection contains more than 1.5 million items, highlighting the objects from 19th and early 20th centuries. Visitors will find a huge variety of objects including paintings, drawings, costumes, furniture, decorative objects, toys, and rare manuscripts and books, among other amazing items. The museum is featured for its comprehensive collection of photographs, including photographs by film director Stanley Kubrick.
